Okay, I've never written for this fandom before, so I don't know how "generic" this is going to come off as. There's just only so much I can do with 300 words, you know? Anyway, sorry for the delay, and here you go (takes place around volume 7ish--inspired by the night Muraki dragged Tsuzuki to Oriya's, er, establishment):

"Oriya, be a dear and bring me some tea, would you?"

Muraki brushed past his old college friend as he stepped off the genkan, removing his coat in a swift movement and handing it to one of the women in attendance. He didn't even glance back to see the barely suppressed rage on Oriya's face as he made his way to his "usual" spot, nevermind that it was the middle of the night.

Oriya had half a mind to knock Muraki's head in for showing up out of the blue like this, especially after the mess he'd caused the last time he was here. He always acquiesced, though, like an obedient dog, made a fool of by its master, but still sitting on command.

Really, he didn't know why he put up with this crap. He might not be employed in the most reputable of occupations, but he was damned sure he could do better than this guy for a friend. Still, he knew thing about Muraki that he knew the doctor wouldn't tell anyone else, and that alone spoke volumes of the nature of their trust in one another.

He'd bring "last time" up again tonight, to be sure, deride the doctor for his continued follies, but right now he supposed he'd have to go put some more tea on. Sighing, Oriya followed after his "master," ready to "serve" him in he name of "friendship" as much as in the name of "purveyor." Faithfulness to his duties was one thing Oriya knew how to handle for sure.
